The Piglet Plus Large Charcoal Smoker Grill

The Backwoods Piglet Plus is the upgraded version of the Piglet smoker, designed to meet the needs of BBQ enthusiasts who demand more space, power, and performance. Whether you're catering, competing, or cooking for large gatherings, the Piglet Plus delivers with enhanced capacity and versatility.

One of the standout features of the Piglet Plus is its unique door system that flips up effortlessly on two pneumatic pumps, giving you easy access to the cooking chamber. This smoker was born from feedback from the Backwoods Smoker community, and we’ve made it 6 inches deeper to accommodate full-size steam table pans, making it even more practical for large-scale cooks.

Perfect for smoking whole pork shoulders or small hogs, the Piglet Plus can handle a 60 to 80 lb. hog, depending on preparation. The smoker comes standard with a heat diverter for even heat distribution, and optional add-ons like extra racks, gas, water, and convection upgrades make this unit highly customizable for your needs.

With double the capacity of the Party smoker, the Piglet Plus offers plenty of room to handle big cooking jobs. It can smoke:

•    22 to 26 slabs of baby back ribs, or
•    16 to 18 briskets, or
•    45 Boston butts

Operating at cooking temperatures ranging from 180 to 300°F, the Piglet Plus is designed for precision and performance. Whether you're competing at a high level or feeding a hungry crowd, the Piglet Plus has you covered.

Take your BBQ to new heights with the Backwoods Piglet Plus built for the serious pitmaster who demands space, power, and flexibility.

Cooking Style

Finding the best smoker depends on your preferred cooking style, the flavor you want, and the level of control you want over your fire. Offset smokers offer rich wood-smoke flavor and classic stick-burning performance. Pellet smokers deliver set-and-forget convenience with consistent temperatures. Vertical and cabinet smokers maximize capacity for large cooks while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.

Build Quality

Build quality matters for heat retention and smoke consistency. Look for thick steel, premium seals, and reliable temperature control systems. Whether you're smoking brisket, ribs, poultry, or wild game, the right smoker ensures even heat distribution and consistent results year-round.
